The text area for notes adds the possibility to complement cards with notes. Simply select a card and then click with the mouse into the notes-field and type the text. If the mouse pointer is not within the notes-field-area, then the text is written into the card itself. Notes can be recognized by little yellow memo pads right below the cards. Each card can have it's own notes.
