You can put cards on different layers with the layer function. Thus you can “develop” a Concept Map in front of learners or remove single cards at presentations gradually.
At first you must display the layer-menu-bar by selecting View >
symbol bars > layers. The layer-menu-bar then appears in the lower
symbol bar:
![]()
Mark cards for certain layer: At first you need to mark cards that shall be put on the desired layer (dragging the mouse around them) .
Select Layer-deepness: with the drop-down menu
(layers smaller zero are hidden).
With the following
key-shortcuts you can define the layer depth and with this steer the
visibleness of the cards:
Move layered cards one layer down: Ctrl+ t
Move layered cards one layer down: Ctrl+ i
Begin or end layer-mark for single card: Ctrl+U has a double function. On cards that have no layer-mark it marks them and puts the card on level -1 (card gets invisible). It ends the layer-mark on cards that have it.
Ending layer-marks for all cards: Ctrl+e ends all layer-marks levels so that all cards get visible again.
To save layers you must hide all ovals that are on lower levels.
Note: Layers are beta, and not developed yet in a user-friendly way. If they play a crucial role for you, please write us and we will put layers on higher priority.
